Quality control in production through computer vision
A manufacturing company engaged in large-scale production must ensure rapid, precise, and reliable quality control on thousands of products each day. Manual inspections, although well-established, often prove to be slow and subject to a margin of error, with the risk of failing to identify defects that are difficult to see with the naked eye or slowing down the entire production cycle.
To maintain high quality standards, the company needs a solution capable of automating the inspection process, minimising inaccuracies and optimising verification times throughout the production line.
To address this need, we have developed and implemented a computer vision system dedicated to quality control. The solution, custom-designed by our team, enables automated visual inspections directly on the production line, detecting any imperfections or defects on products that are difficult to identify through manual checks.
Thanks to the use of machine learning techniques, the system has been trained on a large set of images to recognise anomalies according to the quality standards defined by the company. In addition to ensuring more accurate quality control, the solution also helps to improve the overall efficiency of the production process.
